US Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and Printing -The Money Factory

US Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and Printing -The Money Factory

The US Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and Printing has only two sites in the US. One is located in DC and the other is located in Fort Worth Texas. A visit is almost a necessity for anyone that is interested in the history of currency and that wants to check out some really interesting interactive exhibits.

Visitors are treated to witnessing billions of dollars being printed via an enclosed glass walkway. This is not something you can see up close and personal anywhere else.  This two level building houses some of the most interesting money exhibits anywhere.

The self-guided tour allows you to move at your own pace through the exhibits. The tour includes the high definition theater. Souvenirs are available at the Money Factory Gift shop.

This is a fun and interesting way to spend some time while you are visiting Fort Worth. It is a day trip that you will always remember.

Hours of Operation

The Public Tour is open Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The last tour walkway entrance is at 4:30 p.m.  The facility is closed during all federal holidays, weekends and other select days throughout the year so do check the operation schedule before you head out.

Make sure you arrive a few minutes earlier than your planned visit to allow for time to get through the security check point. Valid ID is required for all adults entering the facility.
