Amon G Carter Stadium

Amon G Carter Stadium

The Amon G Carter Stadium is located on the campus of TCU (Texas Christian University). This is an open air football stadium.  It is affectionately called the “Hells Half Acre”, “The Carter”. It is home to “Armed Forces Bowl”.  The stadium seats 45,000 after recent renovations. It was originally designed for 22,000 people.

The “Frogs” of TCU play all their home games there.  The stadium was constructed in 1930 and has been in use ever since.  The atmosphere around the stadium on game day is everything that you would expect especially since TCU has joined the Big XII Conference.

The food at the stadium ranges from healthy food options like salads and wraps to the typical stadium fare.   You can bypass the lines by using your smart phone to order this way you do not have to miss a minute of the game and still get your dinner/lunch on time.

Student spirit is always high and you can be treated to the legendary Frog Horn that sits in the end zone and makes tremendous noise.

The Amon G Carter Stadium is must see venue in Fort Worth. The games are great fun and the atmosphere is just fabulous.  This stadium was ranked 6th top stadium in the Big XII conference by USA Today.  It offers the 4th largest seating capacity of the Big XII stadiums.

Overall this stadium is a great way to experience football. Check with the stadium for other events that may be held during offseason.
