CR Smith Museum

CR Smith Museum

Fort Worth has something for everyone. The CR Smith Museum (named in honor of Cyrus Rowlett Smith who became president of American Airlines at the age of 35 and led the company for 35 years) is an awesome way to spend an afternoon with the family learning about aviation history and having some fun.   The museum takes visitors through the history of American Airlines with fun interactive displays and hundreds of artifacts from the history of aviation. This is not like your typical aviation museum where the “do not touch rule” applies. This is a hands on experience that makes roaming around the museum something that everyone enjoys.

The museum is great for all ages which makes it great for families to enjoy together.  Enjoy the state of the art theater, viewing the rare DC 3 that has been lovingly restored to its original glory and full size plane parts.  There is a wealth of permanent exhibits like the History Wall, Flight Lab and other great permanent exhibits. There are also visiting exhibits that make an appearance. In the past the museum has offered the Lego Travel Adventure, Zulu Patrol and Super Kids Save the World. It is a great learning experience that is shrouded in fun.

The museum is open Tuesday through Sat from 9am-5pm. Admission is:

-Adult – $7
-Senior Citizens 65+: $4
-Military: $4
-Students (with ID): $4
-Children 2-17: $4
