Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge

Fort Worth offers a full range of activities for all family members. The Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge is a haven for wildlife and nature in Fort Worth. This is a learning center that offers trails, interactive tours and a bevy of outdoor fun.

The refuge is over 3500 acres large. It is froth with all the natural flora and fauna that is native to the Fort Worth area. It is a tranquil peace filled oasis in Fort Worth.  The refuge offers over 20 miles of hiking trails that are rich with all the natural wonders you would hope to find.

There are guided hikes that are available to families, school groups and other groups. The focus of this center is land preservation and proper land management techniques. The friendly staff is all committed to conservation efforts to help protect the natural land and wildlife that is native to central Texas.

It has been designated as a National Natural Landmark since 1980 and offers a view of Texas in its most glorious natural state.

There is a slew of scheduled activities each month which you can find easily.  Scheduling your visit around the fun activities that are available will really enhance your trip.

Admission is:

$5 Adults (13-64)
$2 Children (3-12; under 3 FREE)
$3 seniors (65+)
$1 Discount per person (with Military ID-Active/Retired)

The Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge is open 8am-5pm 7 days a week.  It is a great must see attraction in Fort Worth.
